And by bone, I mean job.
And by throw, I mean give. What is with the current state of this city? Jobs I’m qualified for either don’t exist or aren’t hiring. Jobs I’m not qualified for? There are more of those than I can shake a stick at. And jobs that nobody wants? (Priceless).
Shave and a haircut
I went back around to the places (most of) to inquire about the applications I had given them the previous week. They all sing the same tune - either they haven’t had the chance to look at them yet (but they will tomorrow and will be setting up interviews for Friday and Saturday) or they just haven’t looked at them at all with no intention to (?) (But thanks for coming by!)
A van is worth a thousand words
If I could get my hands on the van, then I could get my hands on a wider job range, a bigger market. More of an ability to put myself out there with the hopes and (yes) even the thoughts of being able to get to a job without relying on city transportation to get me there fifteen minutes late (or not at all).
Is it really too much to ask?
I really want to work. Is it really too much to ask for a job? Yes? It is? Ok.

I know what you mean. I have been looking for two months. I graduated in August of 2006 with a BFA and jobs are just too hard to find!

Sounds so familiar. I’ve been at my job for about two years now, but i’m sick of working in museums ::cringe:: Know I’m looking, but the jobs i have experience for are all taken and the jobs i want i’m not experienced enough to get.
Well, good luck with you job hunt, my fingers are crossed for you.

It took me about 5 months to find a job when I first started looking– I ended up at the one place I LEAST wanted to be at, but I got another interview next week! Trust me, once you find one (finally– like what happened to me) everyone else will suddenly want you. It’s quite annoying, really.
