Deus ex machina (deus ex māchinā) or god from the machine is a working title for each and every one of you.
Plot twist - reinforced with some unbelievable amount of bad luck and then, suddenly, as if from nowhere, resolution. Unbelievable and unfathomably as it may seem, an end has come to what once had begun. And you find yourself at the very center of what was written before you and your fathers before them.
…built in His image is a little more than a reference to superstition and hocus pocus. More than mere happenstance. Literally put, you are the god from the machine. Taken out of context and busted down a few levels maybe, but if we can dig deep enough, we find that we are our own creators - our own keepers - our own deciders (thanks for the new word, G.W.) of our own destinies.
We are our own saviors, kings, countrymen. We are our judge, jury, and executioners (if need be). And perhaps the most sobering bit of information of this all:
We are our own ethereal embodiment of all that is good and evil in this existence and (if such a thing exists) the next.
R&R is a series of Rants and Randomness (filed under Rants and Randomness… not a coincidence) that is nothing more than the opinion of this writer and should only be taken at face value - if something particularly bugs me, I will talk about it in a means that, at times, may seem less constructive than it should be. This is no mistake - while I do advocate such things as racial equality, sexual equality, etc., etc., I also find that sometimes even these things have discrepancies and hypocrisies about them, which I may or may not bring into light in a more or less positive/negative way. In short, try not to take these too seriously. And whatever you do, if you feel that after reading this you have a need to shoot off a hatemail or leave a comment saying something like ‘u suck’, let me say you the trouble and let you know right now that hatemail will be more or less ignored (except for the 5 seconds or so I’m laughing at it) and any comments that are of a nature other than constructive (i.e. ‘u suck’) will be deleted.
