It takes time to write the thing we write, create the music and art we create, and produce the theme (I know only one, but we’re working on it! I’ve given word to the head Slave master to step up production. What, you think 5 year old Asian fingers type as fast as yours and mine? Actually, they type faster, but that’s neither here nor there) we produce.

It takes energy to do these things as well. Nicotine, red meat, and Starbucks. (Or Mountain Dew, whichever is closer.)

It takes money to host the website (recently we had to downgrade our hosting package because funds are drying up here at the homefront. I blame all those damn enviro-mentalists and their need to force me to recycle. What that has to do with anything is beyond me.)

Where does this money come from? It used to come in the form of sunshine and farts, but since happiness isn’t something I can give to my bank and my web host as payment, money is the next best thing.

This site is free - and it will always be free - but if you enjoy it - whether “it” be the theme, the music, the writing, or the art - why not donate something? 5 cents? I am almost willing to bet that you can walk into your living room and find a nickel.

“But Matt, why would I give you this nickel when I can send it to Africa and feed a starving child?”

Did that starving child in Africa spend a week of his or her life coding an incredibly customizable Wordpress theme for your own personal site? Did that starving kid in Africa point you in the direction of a website that would keep you entertained for hours on end? Did that starving kid in Africa create music that you could listen to, free of charge and persecution from the MPAA? No?

What’s that you say - I didn’t either? Oh… well, can’t blame me for trying!

So you’ve been listening to the music we’ve created, reading the entries in the blog, been informed in some way, and for some reason you want to give us money. There are 2 ways you can go about doing this.

You can donate however much you want. 5 cents, 5 dollars, whatever. Donate with the knowledge that it’s all going to a good cause: helping to maintain this website.

You can donate directly into our paypal account. This money will be used for everything (including partly paying for hosting). Donating this way will put the money directly into our pockets, giving us the freedom to do with it whatever we want. Listened to all of the songs on Radio SF? Consider it paying less than 1/2 for what you would pay for a CD at your local BestBuy.
