Wow, 400 posts. Give or take 200. As well as the thousands made in the years before Scarform.
The question isn’t ‘do I have enough entries to make a book’… the question becomes: ‘who the hell would want to read it, anyway?’

Seeing as how I saw this (Dead or Alive) about… 6 months ago(?) you can bet how surprised I was when we not only received word that it was coming to theaters this month but also to see the movie posters arrive today.
With a release date of June 15th, I started wondering something: what the hell did I watch?
Taking a closer at the movie info, I realized that I had, indeed, seen the movie. So what gives?
Mininova certainly had it listed September of ‘06 - so the big question on my mind: who let it slip and whether or not it wasn’t a slip, but a release to DVD with a re-release to theaters with a ‘re-invented’ release date.
Also, IMDB has the following information:
Rated PG-13 for pervasive martial arts and action violence, some sexuality and nudity.
I remember no nudity in the version I saw. So is it possible that the DOA coming to theaters is different from what I saw? And if so, why?
It reminds me of a day back in highschool when a friend of mine got a copy of The Matrix. It was a complete copy - the only thing that was missing was the soundtrack. He had gotten it several months in advance of its actual release.
Could that have been what happened here?
I will end up seeing this movie and will have to make my own determination as to whether or not this newer version is better (or the same) as the one I have already seen.
Oh - and as to the original viewing and it’s score?
3 out of 5. Wasn’t great, wasn’t horrible. It’s everything you’d expect from a video game based movie.
Nobody wants real insight into the heart of the matter. They want feels good. What looks and tastes like something they can individually wrap and sell to the American household.
Nobody wants to know the truth - nobody wants to hear fact. They want Science Fiction and rhetoric.
Nobody wants anything. But in a strange twist of events, they want everything.
And eventually, they will have it.
A lot of people will tell you that you can learn more about yourself by keeping a journal.
These people are idiots.
I have learned less about myself from blogging than I have in my every day life.
When I write, I don’t find some magical new insight into who I am or what I am about: If I needed to find insight into who I was, then I wouldn’t be me. I would be somebody else.
The point is this.
I have learned zilch.
Sure, maybe my writing abilities have improved, maybe not. Maybe my spelling has improved, maybe not. But the fact of the matter is that I have not learned anything about myself - there are no conceptual improvements (or otherwise) that have been made. Only improvements on skill. (Which is bound to happen anyway).
Why do I continue to write?
It’s one of the few things I’ve found that I enjoy doing that I’m relatively good at. And in the end, that’s pretty much the only thing you can claim as your very own.

I don’t care how old I get - I still find enjoyment in Disney’s A Goofy Movie.
It is the fate of all mankind to eventually become everything we always said we would never become: our parents.
We are doomed to become part of the very machine we spent 10 years rebelling against.
It’s a sad state of affairs, to put it lightly, that we aspire to be nothing more than somebody else’s lap-dog, running to-and-fro for the sake of simply running to-and-fro.
And when everything you’ve ever loved about life has been squeezed to the point of utter and complete obliteration, take the name tag off of your shirt (or cubicle) and hand it to your boss and utter these three amazingly simple and heart felt words:
Go fuck yourself.
(On the other hand, if you love your job, I’d suggest not doing this).
