Star Trek

I am not a Star Trek fan, by any means. I was never a fan of the television series, and I never really watched it enough to know anything about the Star Trek universe, its characters, or its plots. And the science in the movie may be flawed, the movie itself was a pretty exciting event.

There was plenty of action and suspense in this movie to make it feel like an epic space movie spanning the amount of time in-storyline that it did. And while it jumps around in the beginning, never does it lose its audience.

And thanks to the time jumping in the storyline, the slate for the series (if any) here-after is wiped clean and ready for Abrams (or whoever may pick it up) to take it in bold new directions.
