General Game Play discussion forums. Full of whiners, criers, and all around douchebags. IBL this, mother fuckers.
“I wonder, someone out there really plays TCG?”
I play it, I spend money on it, I enjoy the games, and I enjoy the loot that I get from it. Yes, I spend my money on it because that’s my right to do so. Nobody tricked me into buying packs to build my decks with, sell to other players, or open for a chance at loot. I chose to do so. And I will continue to choose to do so.
If the loot were added to the game via quests and not the TCG, that would be just as good. I can play this game with or without the loot cards to be perfectly honest.
And the whole “they’re stealing ideas for the TCG cards instead of putting them in the game omgz!”… the second your ideas hit the forums, they become public information. Seeing as how SOE owns these forums, has complete control over what appears, what stays, and what goes, and seeing as how all information that is stored on the SOE servers becomes the property of SOE, the minute you put your ideas here, they belong to – you guessed it – SOE. To do with what they please. Don’t like it? Don’t post.
“Any and all User Content submitted (e.g., by uploading or transmitting) to SOE shall be deemed, and shall remain, the property of SOE and/or its Third Party Providers from the moment of creation.” SOE TOS
Also, seeing as how your ideas wouldn’t exist without SWG in the first place – another thing not owned by the playerbase – any said ideas are up for grabs by anyone in any department that works on this game.
But let’s not make this the 100millionth anti-TCG cry fest. Asking the question “who really plays TCG” in the GPD forums is like going into the Bounty Hunter forums and saying “How many of you play an Entertainer?” I’m sure some of them do (maybe as alts) but the point is: ask this question in the TCG forums and you’d be laughed out of the room.
Yes, people play it. Really.
“Thank you SOE, TCG loot cards just lost you a 4+ year vet with 6+ accounts…”
“TCG is boring, thats great if you enjoy it, but I dont. If I want to play cards I’d call up some friends and get some poker going. If I want to play a computer game I come here. I played TCG. I even bought a few packs, got nothing. But the loot cards are AWESOME!!! A jedi and sith temple?!?!?! A new jetpack?!?!?! Life size statue of my lord and savior Boba Fett?!?!?! OMG OMG OMG!!! I would really like to get a chance at these, but without a heavy supply of visa credit or game credits, I have about a .00000000001% chance of getting anything, and thats really lame.”
So because you can’t get unnecessary loot in a video game, you’re quitting. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!
“TCG has made my mind up for me”
“Incase you are wondering, this is why Im not resubing:
1 No Wookiee Love
2 TCG Loot Cards
3 Cybernetics have been shoved aside
4 Quest that have been broken since before NGE
5 and much more”
Nice title. Jump on the TCG bandwagon, and then not let it be the main reason for leaving. Could have at least made it number one if it was the reason for leaving in the first place.
TCG = chance at loot = loot that isn’t even necessary = buildings that can be used by everyone (even if you only have one on the server, everyone on the server could use it… i.e. Diner buff… = stop crying over unnecessary things to cry over =
If you don’t like a game that you pay for – stop playing and don’t pay for it.
